Adele was born about 1170 in France.  Adele's father was King Louis ("the Younger") Capet VII of France and her mother was Adele de Blois de Champagne.  Her paternal grandparents were King Louis ("the Fat") Capet VI and Adelaide de Maurienne of Savoy; her maternal grandparents were Count Theobold IV (II) of Blois and Princess Maud von Sponheim of Carinthia. She had a brother named Philip Augustus. She had four half-sisters named Margaret, Alix, Agnes and Mary.  She died in 1221.

‌Adele and William were married in a religious ceremony on August 20th, 1195 in Castile.  They had a daughter named Marie.
