Adele de Blois was born about 1140 in Blois, France.  Adele de Blois' father was Count Theobold IV (II) of Blois and her mother was Princess Maud von Sponheim of Carinthia.  Her paternal grandparents were Count Stephen Henry ("le Sage") III of Blois and Princess Adela; her maternal grandfather was Ingelbert II of Carinthia and her maternal grandmother is Utha von Sulzbach (Passau). She had two brothers named Thibaud and "the Liberal".  She died on June 4th, 1206 in Paris, Isle De France.  She was buried in Abbaye De Pontigny, Pontigny, Isle De France.

‌Adele de Blois and "the Younger" were married in a religious ceremony on November 13th, 1160.  They had a son and a daughter, named Philip Augustus and Adele.
