Maud was born about 1097 in Karnten, Austria.  Maud's father was Ingelbert II of Carinthia and her mother is Utha von Sulzbach (Passau).  Her paternal grandparents were Count Engelbert I in the Leventhal and Hedwig von Eppenstein of Flinsbach; her maternal grandparents were Count Ulric von Putten of Passau and Adelaide von Frantenhausen. She had a sister named Mahaud.  She was the older of the two children.  She died on December 13th, 1160 in Fontrevault, France.


Maud's family with Count Theobold IV (II) of Blois

‌Maud and Theobold were married in a religious ceremony in 1123.  They had two sons and a daughter, named Thibaud, "the Liberal" and Adele de Blois.
