Philip Augustus was born on August 21st, 1165 in Paris, Isle de France, France.  Philip Augustus' father was King Louis ("the Younger") Capet VII of France and his mother was Adele de Blois de Champagne.  His paternal grandparents were King Louis ("the Fat") Capet VI and Adelaide de Maurienne of Savoy; his maternal grandparents were Count Theobold IV (II) of Blois and Princess Maud von Sponheim of Carinthia. He had a sister named Adele. He had four half-sisters named Margaret, Alix, Agnes and Mary.  He died at the age of 57 on July 14th, 1223 in Mantes, Isle de France.  He was buried in Saint Denis, Isle De France, France.

‌Philip Augustus and Isabella were married in a religious ceremony on April 28th, 1180 in Bapaume, Pas-de-Calais, France.  They had a son named "the Lion".
