Stephen Henry, known as "le Sage", was born about 1045 in Blois, Loir-et-Cher, France.  "le Sage"'s father was Count Theobald III of Blois & Champagne and his mother is Garesende de Maine.  His paternal grandparents were Count Odo II of Blois and Ermengarde d'Auvergne; his maternal grandfather was Count Herbert of Maine. He had a brother named Gilbert.  He was the older of the two children.  He died  due to killed in Battle on May 27th, 1102 in Ascalon.

‌"le Sage" and Adela were married in a religious ceremony in Breteuil, Eure, France.  They had four sons and a daughter, named Theobold, Thibault, William, Stephen and Emma.
