Eleanor was born on June 17th, 1264 in Windsor Castle, Windsor, Berkshire, England.  Eleanor's father was King Edward ("Longshanks") Plantagenet I of England and her mother was Princess Eleanor of Castile.  Her paternal grandparents were King Henry Plantagenet III of England and Queen Eleanor Berenger of Provence; her maternal grandparents were King Ferdinand ("the Saint") III of Castile & Läeon and Joan Dammartin. She had a brother and two sisters, named Edward, Joan and Elizabeth.  She was the oldest of the four children. She had two half-brothers named "of Brotherton" and "of Woodstock".  She died at the age of 54 in 1318 in Ghent, Flanders, Belgium.  She was buried in Collegiate Church Of St Gudule, Brussels, Belgium.

‌Eleanor and Henry were married in a religious ceremony on September 20th, 1293 in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.  They had a daughter named Eleanor.
