Eleanor was born about 1217 in Aix-en-Provence, Provence.  Eleanor's father was Raymond Berenger V (IV) and her mother was Beatrice de Savoie.  Her paternal grandparents were Prince Alfonso II of Provence and Garsenda Sabran; her maternal grandparents were Count Thomas de Maurienne I of Savoy and Margaret of Geneva. She had three sisters named Marguerite, Sancha and Beatrice.  She was the oldest of the four children.  She died on June 24th, 1291 in Amesbury, Wiltshire, England.  She was buried on September 11th, 1291 in Monastery, Amesbury, Wiltshire, England.

‌Eleanor and Henry were married in a religious ceremony on January 14th, 1236 in Canterbury Cathedral, Kent, England.  They had two sons and a daughter, named "Longshanks", "Crouchback" and Beatrice.
