Beatrice was born about 1201 in Chambâery, Savoie, France.  Beatrice's father was Count Thomas de Maurienne I of Savoy and her mother was Margaret of Geneva.  Her paternal grandparents were Count Humbert ("le Saint") de Maurienne III of Savoy and Beatrix de Macon; her maternal grandparents were Count William de Geneva I of Faucigny and Beatrix Faucigny. She had a brother named Amadeus.  She was the younger of the two children.  She died in December 1266 in France.

‌Beatrice and Raymond were married in a religious ceremony in December 1220 in Chambery, Savoie, France.  They had four daughters named Eleanor, Marguerite, Sancha and Beatrice.
