Sancha was born about 1225 in Aix-en-Provence, Bouches-du-Rhone, France.  Sancha's father was Raymond Berenger V (IV) and her mother was Beatrice de Savoie.  Her paternal grandparents were Prince Alfonso II of Provence and Garsenda Sabran; her maternal grandparents were Count Thomas de Maurienne I of Savoy and Margaret of Geneva. She had three sisters named Eleanor, Marguerite and Beatrice.  She was the second youngest of the four children.  She died on November 9th, 1261 in Berkhamsteadcast, Berkhamstead, Hertfordshire, England.  She was buried in Hailes Abbey, Hailes, Gloucestershire, England.


Sancha's family with Prince Richard Plantagenet of England

‌Sancha and Richard were married in a religious ceremony on November 23rd, 1243 in Westminster Abbe, Westminster, Middlesex, England.  They had a son named Richard.
