Raymond, known as "the Chaste", was born in 1113 in Barcelona, Spain.  "the Chaste"'s father was Count Raymond ("the Great") III of Barcelona and his mother was Dulce Aldonza Milhaud.  His paternal grandparents were Raymond ("Towhead") Berenger II (III) and Maud of Hauteville; his maternal grandfather was Gilbert Milhaud of Provence and his maternal grandmother is Gerberga of Provence. He had a sister named Berenguela.  He was the older of the two children. He had a half-sister named Ximene.  He died at the age of 49 on August 8th, 1162 in Borgo San Dalmazzo, Cuneo, Ital.


"the Chaste"'s family with Petronilla Ramirez

‌"the Chaste" and Petronilla were married in a religious ceremony in 1151 in Huesca, Huesca, Spain.  They had a son and two daughters, named "the Chaste", Dulce and Aldonza.
