Thomas de Woodstock was born in Gloucester, Woodstock, Oxford, England.  Thomas de Woodstock's father was King Edward Plantagenet III of England and his mother was Queen Philippa Hainault.  His paternal grandparents were King Edward II of England and Scotland and Princess Isabella ("the she-wolf") of France; his maternal grandparents were William ("the Good") de Avesnes III or V and Jeanne de Valois. He had three brothers named Lionel, John and Edmund.  He died  due to murdered by Richard II on September 8th, 1397 in Calais, Prince's Inn, Pas-De-Calais, France.  He was buried in Collegiate Church of the Holy Trinity.

‌Thomas de Woodstock and Eleanor were married in a religious ceremony after September 9th, 1359.  They had a daughter named Anne.
