Eleanor was born in 1366 in Hereford, Herefordshire, England.  Eleanor's father was Earl Humphrey de Bohun IX of Hereford and her mother was Joan FitzAlan.  Her paternal grandparents were Sir William de Bohun and Elizabeth de Badlesmere; her maternal grandparents were Earl Richard ("Copped Hat") FitzAlan of Arundel and Eleanor Plantagenet. She had a sister named Mary.  She was the older of the two children.  She died at the age of 33 on October 3rd, 1399 in Minoresses Conevernt, Aldgate, Middlesex, England.  She was buried in Westminster Abbey, London, England.

‌Eleanor and Thomas de Woodstock were married in a religious ceremony after September 9th, 1359.  They had a daughter named Anne.
