Humphrey was born in 1276 in Pleshey Castle, Essex, England.  Humphrey's father was Humphrey de Bohun and his mother was Maud de Fiennes.  His paternal grandparents were Sir Humphrey de Bohun VI and Alianore de Braose; his maternal grandfather was Baron Ingelram de Fiennes II and his maternal grandmother is Isabel de Conde.  He was an only child.  He died  due to died in battle in Boroughbridge, Yorkshire, England.  He was buried in Friars Preachers Church, York, Yorkshire, England.


Humphrey's family with Princess Elizabeth Plantagenet

‌Humphrey and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on October 14th, 1302 in Westminster, Middlesex, England.  They had a son and a daughter, named William and Eleanor.
