Beatrice was born about 1149 in Stoke, Devonshire, England.  Beatrice's father was Earl Rainald de Dunstanville of Cornwall and her mother is Beatrice FitzWilliam of Mortain.  Her paternal grandparents were King Henry ("Beauclerc", "Fine Scholar") Plantagenet I of England and Sibyl Corbet; her maternal grandfather was Earl William de Burgo Mortaigne of East Cornwall and her maternal grandmother is Isabel FitzRichard de Clare. She had two sisters named Joan and Maud.  She was the youngest of the three children.  She died on March 24th, 1217.

‌Beatrice and William were married in a religious ceremony about 1174 in Stoke, Devonshire, England.  They had five daughters named Margaret, Grecia, Isabel, Alice and Joan.
