Earl Rainald de Dunstanville of Cornwall 
Rainald was born in Dunstanville, Kent, England. Rainald's father was King Henry ("Beauclerc", "Fine Scholar") Plantagenet I of England and his mother was Sibyl Corbet. His paternal grandparents were King William ("the Conqueror") I of England and Matilda of Flanders; his maternal grandfather was Lord Robert FitzCorbet of Alcester, Warwickshire. He had three sisters named Eustacia, Emme and Sibyl Elizabeth. He had four half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named "the King's Son", William, Henry FitzHenry, Haldane, Lady of the English, "The Empress", Constance Matilda, Alix, Joan Elizabeth, Maud, Annora and Mathilde. He died on July 1st, 1175 in Chertsey, Surrey, England. He was buried in Abbey, Reading, Berkshire, England.General Notes
Earl of Cornwall
Cokayne's "Complete Peerage" (Cornwall, p429). He was created Earl of
Cornwall in 1141, probably by the Empress Maud, but the title was fully
recognised subsequently by King Stephen. He was a witness to the compromise
between Stephen and Henry in 1153. Sheriff of Devon 1173-1175. He was in
command, ex parte Regis, Oct. 1173, against the rebellious barons. The
earldom reverted to the Crown when he d.s.p.m.
Reginald de Dunstanville, natural son of king Henry the first, was created by
king Stephen earl of Cornwal, which title became extinct at his death 1175.
