Henry FitzHenry was born about 1105 in South Wales.  Henry FitzHenry's father was King Henry ("Beauclerc", "Fine Scholar") Plantagenet I of England and his mother was Princess Nesta ferch Rhys of Deheubarth.  His paternal grandparents were King William ("the Conqueror") I of England and Matilda of Flanders; his maternal grandfather was King Rhys ap Tewdwr I of Deheubarth and his maternal grandmother is Gwladus ap Rhiwallon. He had a sister named Annora. He had five half-brothers and ten half-sisters, named "the King's Son", Rainald, William, Haldane, Einion, Lady of the English, "The Empress", Constance Matilda, Alix, Joan Elizabeth, Maud, Eustacia, Emme, Sibyl Elizabeth and Mathilde.  He died in 1157 in Anglesey, Wales.
