Mathilde was born in 1086 in England.  Mathilde's father was King Henry ("Beauclerc", "Fine Scholar") Plantagenet I of England and her mother was Edith FitzForne de Greystoke.  Her paternal grandparents were King William ("the Conqueror") I of England and Matilda of Flanders; her maternal grandfather was Lord Forne FitzSigulf of Greystoke and her maternal grandmother is Aldith. She had five half-brothers and eleven half-sisters, named "the King's Son", Rainald, William, Henry FitzHenry, Haldane, Lady of the English, "The Empress", Constance Matilda, Alix, Joan Elizabeth, Maud, Eustacia, Emme, Sibyl Elizabeth, Annora and Edith.  She died at the age of 34 on November 26th, 1120 in "White Ship", Barfleur, Manche, France.


Mathilde's family with Comte Routrou du Perche II

‌Mathilde and Routrou were married in a religious ceremony in 1103.  They had a daughter named Phillipe.
