Richard FitzGilbert, known as "Strongbow", was born in Tunbridge, Kent, England.  "Strongbow"'s father was Earl Gilbert FitzGilbert ("Strongbow") de Clare of Pembroke and his mother was Isabel de Beaumont.  His paternal grandparents were Earl Gilbert FitzRichard de Clare I of Hertford and Alice de Claremont; his maternal grandparents were Robert de Beaumont of Meulan and Elizabeth de Crepi. He had a sister named Basilia. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named "the King's Son", Constance Matilda, Alix and Joan Elizabeth.  He died on April 20th, 1176 in Dublin, Leinster, Ireland.  He was buried in Holy Trinity (Christ Church Cathedrall), Dublin, Leinster, Ireland.


"Strongbow"'s family with Aoife MacMurrough of Leinster

‌"Strongbow" and Aoife were married in a religious ceremony on August 26th, 1171 in Waterford, Ireland.  They had a daughter named Isabel.
