Isabel was born in Leicester, Leicestershire, England.  Isabel's father was Robert de Beaumont of Meulan and her mother was Elizabeth de Crepi.  Her paternal grandparents were Roger de Beaumont and Lady Adeline de Meulan of Beaumont; her maternal grandparents were Count Hugh ("the Great", "le Grand") de Crepi of Vermandois and Adelaide of Vermandois. She had two brothers and a sister, named "Bossu", Waleran and Maud. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William, Rainald, Ada and Gundred.  She died about 1147.

‌Isabel and "Strongbow" were married in a religious ceremony before 1130.  They had a son and a daughter, named "Strongbow" and Basilia.

‌Isabel and "Beauclerc", "Fine Scholar" were married in a religious ceremony.  They had a son and three daughters, named "the King's Son", Constance Matilda, Alix and Joan Elizabeth.
