Maud was born about 1237 in Shere, Surrey, England.  Maud's father was John FitzGeoffrey and her mother was Isabel Bigod.  Her paternal grandparents were Earl Geoffrey FitzPiers de Mandeville of Essex and Aveline de Clare; her maternal grandparents were Hugh Bigod of Norfolk and Maud Marshall. She had three sisters named Isabella, Joan and Aveline. She had two half-sisters named Margaret and Maud.  She died on April 16th, 1301 in Grey Friars, Worcestershire, England.  She was buried on May 7th, 1301 in Grey Friars, Worcestershire, England.

‌Maud and William were married in a religious ceremony before 1270 in Warwick, Warwickshire, England.  They had a son and a daughter, named Guy and Isabel.
