Ranulph, known as "de Briquessart", was born in Briquessart, Livry, France.  "de Briquessart"'s father was Ranulf de Meschines and his mother is Maud d'Avranches.  His paternal grandparents are Viscount Ranulph de Bayeux II and Alice Normandy; his maternal grandfather was Vicomte Richard ("le Goz") d'Avranches and his maternal grandmother is Emma de Conteville. He had two sisters named Agnes and Helga. He had two half-brothers named Robert and John.  He died in Chester, Cheshire, England.  He was buried in St Werburgh, Chester, Cheshire, England.


"de Briquessart"'s family with Countess Lucy Taillebois of Chester

‌"de Briquessart" and Lucy were married in a religious ceremony about 1097 in England.  They had two sons and a daughter, named Ranulph, William and Adeliza.
