Maud was born in 1132 in Burkenham, Norfolk, England.  Maud's father was James de St. Hilary du Harcourt and her mother is Aveline Ales Canamor of Scotland.  Her paternal grandfather was Hasculf St. Hilary; her maternal grandfather was King Alexander ("the Fierce") I of Scotland and her maternal grandmother is Queen Sibyl Elizabeth de Failaise of Scotland. She had two sisters named Matilda and Matilda de St. Hilary.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 61 on December 24th, 1193 in Norfolk, England.  She was buried in Priory Of Great Carbrooke, Norfolk, England.


Maud's first family with Roger de Clare

‌Maud and Roger were married in a religious ceremony about 1153 in Dalling, Norfolk, England.  They had a son and three daughters, named Richard, Aveline, Mabel and Elena.


Maud's second family with Earl William d'Aubigny of Arundel

They had a daughter named Avice.
