Maud was born about 1192 in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales.  Maud's father was William Marshall and her mother was Isabel FitzGilbert de Clare.  Her paternal grandparents were John FitzGilbert Marshal and Sibyl de Salisbury; her maternal grandparents were Richard FitzGilbert ("Strongbow") de Clare and Aoife MacMurrough of Leinster. She had four sisters named Eve, Joan, Isabella and Sibyl.  She was the oldest of the five children.  She died on March 4th, 1248.  She was buried in Tintern Abbey, Chapel Hill, Monmouthshire, England.

‌Maud and Hugh were married in a religious ceremony before 1207 in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, England.  They had a daughter named Isabel.


Maud's second family with William de Warenne

‌Maud and William were married in a religious ceremony in 1225 in Surrey, England.  They had a son named John.
