Marguerite was born in 1254 in Paris, Seine, Ile-DE-France, France.  Marguerite's father was King Louis Capet IX and her mother was Marguerite Berenger of Provence.  Her paternal grandparents were King Louis Eliganius ("the Lion") Capet VIII and Princess Blanche of Castile; her maternal grandparents were Raymond Berenger V (IV) and Beatrice de Savoie. She had two brothers and a sister, named Philip, Robert and Agnes.  She was the second oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 37 in 1291.  She was buried in St. Denis.


Marguerite's family with Duke Jean ("the Victorious") I of Brabant

‌Marguerite and "the Victorious" were married in a religious ceremony before September 5th, 1270.  They had a daughter named Marguerite.
