Mary is missing on the 1901 census, so presumably she married. Between 1891 and 1901, there were three Mary Clarkson Marriages in Blackburn (many more in Lancashire):
1892: Samuel Smith (Register Office)
1897: Richard Gillibrand (to Mary Ann)
1899: James Richard Mason (St Peter's, Darwen)

Son of Benjamin Clarkson & Susan. He had younger siblings John (b.23-Feb-1797), Jane (b.20-Dec-1806), and William (b.9-Mar-1809). Another Jane (1800-1802) died as a child.
Richard was a Joiner, a good profession, and this is recorded in several places throughout his life.
There was a Richard, born Chorley, aged 75, was living in Preston in 1871, married to Ann. This could be him if he re-married. However there is also probate records for Richard Clarkson, as Joiner and Builder in 1861, but shows is death in Broughton (north of Preston), not Bolton where he was in 1861.

Eccles
Jane's mother was Alice A Walsh (married name). She was living with her in 1901 (widow) after Adam had died. Lancashire BMD however, has the mother's maiden name as Eccles, so perhaps the mother remarried or reverted to her maiden name.
