Sarah Ellen Buckley

Sarah was born in September 1878 in Darcy Lever and her baptism took place on September 8th, 1878 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹²

Sarah's father was William Buckley and her mother was Ann Pollitt (Greenhalgh). Her paternal grandparents were Jonathan Buckley and Mary Webster; her maternal grandparents were Miles Pollitt and Betty (Elizabeth) Openshaw Greenhalgh. She had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Ben, Sarah and Esther. She was the fourth oldest of the five children. She had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Levi, John, Phipps, Thomas, Mary, Hannah, Agnes and Martha. She died at 3 months old in December 1878 in Darcy Lever.¹
