William Buckley

William was born in June 1837 in Bolton.¹

William's father was Jonathan Buckley and his mother was Mary Webster. His paternal grandparents were John Buckley and Mary Crook. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Joseph, Benjamin, Levi, Hannah, Ellen, Mary and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 67 in 1904.

- In 1841, William (4) was with parent at Martins Houses, East Bolton.
  
  Left home married Nancy Gregory in Jan 1858, but reurned home by 1871, widowed with two children.
  
  In 1861, had wife Nancy (23), daughter Mary and "Mother" Maria, aged 61 with him. Was this his mother-in-law (as couldn't be his mother)?
  
  19 July 1873, William Buckley (36) son of Jonathan Buckley, weaver, married Ann Holt (35), daughter of Joseph Pollitt, weaver, deceased at the Claremont (Baptist) Chapel, St George's Road, Bolton.
  
  (WARNING: There is another family: Squire Horrocks Buckley and Elizabeth Holt family from Breightmet married in 1865).
  
  In 1881, William and Ann (43 & 42) were at 25 Cross Street, Darcy Lever with Philip (16), Esther H (5), John J (4) and Ben (1)
