Ada's father was Levi Buckley and her mother was Jane Ann Noris. Her paternal grandparents were Jonathan Buckley and Mary Webster. She had two brothers and six sisters, named John, Ernest, Sarah, Mary, Hannah, Emily, Hannah and Elsie. She was the seventh oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 4 on April 18th, 1894.
