James H Mather was a clogger in 1861 with wife "Martha", but Martha must have died as in 1881 he is a provision dealer and his wife is "Ann". (James Mather, son of Isaac was also a Clogger in 1861).
By 1891 James and Ann had moved to Middle Hulton, now a retired grocer. This explains why James and Ann are buried at Deane.

WARNING: There may be two merged families here, with two James Henry Mathers. Some things don't fit. Missing census records. No death record for Martha (unless Newton le Willows) etc.
In 1858, Martha Williamson married James H Mather.
Martha Mather, born Knutsford 1829, is on the 1861 census with husband James H Mather and son John W (age 1).
Martha may have died, as James later married Ann Yates. However, there appears to be no death record, so perhaps she left him.
In 1863, Son Henry's parents were Mather and BROOM, but they appear to be unmarried.
Another Henry Mather was living with his mother Martha in 1911. This is probably another Henry son of Henry and Martha from Salford. This Henry was 4y older than his wife.

The Jan 1838 St Peter's, Bolton baptism shows James Haney Mather was the son of William a weaver and Jane. There only appears to be one William and Jane (Wilkinson) marriage and this fits with William being born in Bolton following his siblings born in Ainsworth and Droylsden. No other sibling was baptised in Bolton.
In 1841, James Henry is missing, not with mother Jane at Drolysden, Manchester (so may not belong here, although father William is also missing).
In 1851, James (17) was an Apprentice clogger in lodgings followed by a clogger in 1861. In 1861, another James Mather (aged 19) was a clogger, son of Isaac Mather at Wittaker's (i.e. Whittakers, Entwistle). That James died in 1861.
In 1861, James H Mather (27) was a Clogger at 49 Matthew Street South, Bolton. His wife Martha (32) was born Knutsford.
About 1863 son Henry a coffin maker was born, possibly in Ireland. Henry married in 1883, naming his father James H Mather a shopkeeper.
From 1865 to 1871, James and Martha may have been in Ireland (as daughter Ellen was born there about 1865).
In 1881, James Henry Mather (47) was a Provision Dealer, living at 66 Moor Lane, Bolton. With him were wife Ann (47), John William Mather (21) and Ellen (15).
In 1905, James H was an Undertaker at the time of his death (and his son Henry a coffin maker).

Alfred

'Illegitimate' is written in the groom's father's name column of Alfred's 1861 marriage. Possibly the son of James Brindle (1814-1884) and Jane Farnworth (1815-1904)
In 1881, Alfred and Alice (40 & 41) were at 52 Hole Bottom, Failsworth with Sarah Jane (16), Ellen (10), Alice (7), Alfred (5) and George (3 mo)
In 1915, Alfred's son, also Alfred, died at sea during WW1
1817
William

In 1834, William son of John, a potter from Prescot married Margaret Sim, daughter of Charles Sim a weaver at Prescot.
William and Margaret married in 1839, and lived in Prescot untill about 1849 when they them moved to Eastern Bolton.
In Feb 1847, the family were living at Pit Street, Bolton when wife Margaret died.
In 1851, William and Margaret (34 & 36) were in Pit Street, East Bolton with 6 children. John was born in 1852.
