Rachel Mather

Rachel was born on October 16th, 1857 in Elton and her baptism took place on November 8th, 1857 at All Saints (Elton).¹²

Rachel's father was Solomon Mather and her mother was Jane Scowcroft. Her paternal grandparents were Solomon Mather and Mary (Mally) Grime. She had a brother and seven sisters, named Samuel, Elizabeth, Mary, Alice, Martha, Nancy, Margaret and Mary. She was the youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 61 on February 15th, 1919 in Elton. Her burial was in February 1919 at All Saints (Elton).³
