Peggy (Margaret) Scowcroft Mather

Peggy, known as Margaret, was born on March 2nd, 1852 in Elton and her baptism took place on May 16th, 1852 at All Saints (Elton).¹

Margaret's father was Solomon Mather and her mother was Jane Scowcroft. Her paternal grandparents were Solomon Mather and Mary (Mally) Grime. She had a brother and seven sisters, named Samuel, Elizabeth, Mary, Alice, Martha, Nancy, Mary and Rachel. She was the seventh oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 69 in September 1921 in Elton. Her burial was on September 17th, 1921 at All Saints (Elton).²
