WARNING: Another family; Richard Mather married Mary Scowcroft in 1844 and had Robert (1845) and 3 daughters Frances, Esther and Alice (registered Bury N).
There are several (4) Solomon Mathers in our tree, and not all are related. This Solomon was a printer (not painter) at Elton near Bury, so it was likely he was. However, his family appears to have originated from Blackburn.
In 1841, Solomon and Jane (both 20) are at Part of Elton Fold, Elton, Bury with Elizabeth (2) and Mary (10mo).

Solomon and Jane were married in a religious ceremony on January 9th, 1837 at St. Peter's (Bolton) by Vicar J Slade and witnessed by Edward Cucknell.5 They had a son and eight daughters, named Samuel, Elizabeth, Mary, Alice, Martha, Nancy, Margaret, Mary and Rachel. There are no more children.
