Walter Hamer

Walter was born on December 20th, 1866 in Ashton-under-Lyne and his baptism took place there on February 17th, 1867.¹²

Birth Notes

Walter's father was Jethro Hamer and his mother was Martha Jane Mather. His maternal grandparents were Solomon Mather and Jane Scowcroft. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Jethro, Samuel, Edward, Jethro, Sarah, Ada, Alice, Rachel, Florence and Ethel. He was the oldest of the eleven children.
