Birth Notes

Ethel's father was Jethro Hamer and her mother was Martha Jane Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Solomon Mather and Jane Scowcroft. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Walter, Jethro, Samuel, Edward, Jethro, Sarah, Ada, Alice, Rachel and Florence. She was the youngest of the eleven children.
