Samuel was born in 1869 in Elton.¹

Birth Notes

Samuel's father was Joseph Jackson and his mother was Nancy Maria Mather. His maternal grandparents were Solomon Mather and Jane Scowcroft. He had two brothers and two sisters, named James, Albert, Clara and Annie. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 2 in 1871 in Elton.¹
