Baptism records for Nathaniel are missing but it is very likely he is the son of Richard and Hannah from Harwood.
15 Oct 1821, Nathaniel married Nancy Bromily but she died soon after giving birth to their first son the following year.
In 1822, Nathaniel of Harwood (and Alice), Weaver had a son John baptised.
3 July 1825, Nathaniel married again. His signature is a good match with his previous amrriage.
In 1834, the family were at Heaton Norris (when Hannah and John baptised)
Nathaniel and family lived in Middleton from 1841 onwards.
In 1841, Nathanial and Alice (40 & 35) were at Middleton with Peter (15), William (15), Hannah (11), John (7), Nancy (3) and Nathaniel (1).
In 1851, Nathaniel and Alice (49 & 45) were at Chadderton, Middleton with William & Eliza (23 & 19, dau-in-law) and John (17), Nancy (14), Nathaniel (13), Joseph (7) and Alice (5).
In 1861, Nathanial and Alice (59 & 55) were with their daughter Alice (16) and grandaughter Alice A Bailey (7).
In 1871, Nathanial and Alice (69 & 65) were with their daughter Alice (26) and grandchildren Sarah Bailey (22, born Middleton) and Alice Ann Bailey (17, born Hulme).
In 1881, aged 89, after wife Alice died, he was a borader with his daughter Nancy and Richard Thorpe and family.
In Jan 1882, Nathaniel Mather of Thorpe Street, Rhodes died, aged 82

Peter aged 15 in 1841 at Middleton, so is this the same person. Ages match perfectly. Peter, son of Nathanial married at Manchester in 1847, so not the Peter that died.
Mattha was Head and Married in 1861, so Peter was away (or left her) before then.
