Joseph Mather

Joseph was born in September 1842 in Middleton.¹

Birth Notes

Joseph's father was Nathaniel (Nathan) Mather and his mother was Alice Brooks. His paternal grandparents were Richard Mather and Hannah Knowles. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Peter, William, John, Nathaniel, Hannah, Nancy and Alice. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He had a half-brother named John. He died at the age of 11 in March 1854 in Middleton. He was buried on March 12th, 1854 at St. Leonard (Middleton).²³
