    The newspaper also reported Peter's age as 19.  He died in 3rd inst.  No cause of death recorded in the paper.

  • In 1841, Peter (15) was at Lane Ends, Little Hulton working as an Apprentice Collier.
    
    The 13 July 1844 Bolton Chronical Newspaper reported the death of Mr Peter Mather of Tong, near this town.  This is the only Lancashire Peter Mather death with age within 2y.
    
    The Peter who married Ellen Hardman 28-Jun-1846 at St. Helens was the son of John Mather, so this isnt our Peter!
