    • Richard Brereton, Beer Retailer, died 9 Feb 1920 at 7 Tunnel Road (Birkenhead), aged 61 years.  The cause of death was Cirrhosis of the liver and Exhaustion.  R. T. Brereton, Son was in attendance.
Richard was born on June 11th, 1858 in Birkenhead.1  Richard's father was Richard Brereton and his mother was Esther Eddowes.  His paternal grandparents were George Brereton and Jane Hopley; his maternal grandparents were John Eddowes and Mary Whitfield. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, Teapot and Ann.  He was the second youngest of the four children.  He died due to a medical problem, Cirrhosis of liver and Exhaustion, at the age of 61 on February 9th, 1920 in Birkenhead.  He was buried on February 12th, 1920 at the Flaybrick Memorial Gardens.2 3

‌Richard and Lydia were married in a religious ceremony on September 21st, 1887 at St. Mary (Birkenhead).10  They had three sons and four daughters, named Richard, William, Frank, Ginnie, Ethel, Elsie and Lillie.  There are no more children.
