In 1798 John Whitefield paid 4s 6d Land Tax in the Township of Dutton y Brine, Holt Chapebry of Tscoyd (i.e. Isycoed), Denbigh, Wales.
From 1800 to 1804 John and Mary, a farmer of Erlas (between Wrexham and Is-y-Coed) had their three children.
In 1851, John (77) a retired farmer was living with his son-in-law John Davies at Cacca Dutton Farm, Isycoed, Cacca Dutton.
