Richard was born in 1742 in Tilston, St Mary and his christening took place there on July 22nd, 1742.1  Richard's father was Joseph Richards and his mother was Hannah Large. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Joseph, John, Joseph, Jane, Mary, Hannah and Sarah.  He died at the age of 81 in February 1823 in Shocklach.  He was buried on February 4th, 1823 in Shocklach.2 3

‌Richard and Anne were married in a commitment ceremony on August 12th, 1769 in Shocklach by minister Henry Dochsey.1   They were also married in a religious ceremony on September 24th, 1769 in Shocklach by Curate John Lloyd and witnessed by Richard Jnr Frith & John Davies.1  They had two sons and three daughters, named Charles, Richard, Margaret, Mary and Jane.  There are no more children.
