He died from a heart attack, Visitation of God, at the age of 55 on May 9th, 1852 at Beast Market.  He was buried on May 12th, 1852 in Brymbo.^1 4

  May 1852: SUDDEN DEATHS. - On Sunday last, Mr. John Eddowes, cowkeeper, residing at Beast Market, Wrexham ate his dinner in his usual health and spirits; but after rising from the table he fell down; and instantly expired.
  An inquest was held on the body before Bevis Heywood Thelwall Esq., and a respectable jury, when a verdict of "Died by visitation of God" was returned.  Deceased was about 55 years of age.
