Maud, known as "of Lancaster", was born in 1298 in Lancaster, Lancashire, England.  "of Lancaster"'s father was Henry Plantagenet and her mother was Maud de Chaworth.  Her paternal grandparents were Prince Edmund ("Crouchback") and Blanche of Artois; her maternal grandparents were Patrick de Chaworth and Countess Isabel de Beauchamp of Winchester. She had a brother and three sisters, named Henry, Joan, Mary and Eleanor.  She died at the age of 79 on May 5th, 1377.  She was buried in Priory, Campsey, Suffolk, England.

‌"of Lancaster" and William were married in a religious ceremony before May 1st, 1327 in Papal Dispensation.  They had a daughter named Elizabeth.
