Marie was born about 1145 in Antakya, Hatay, Turkey.  Marie's father is Prince Raymond de Poitiers of Antioch and her mother was Princess Constanza of Antioch & Jerusalem.  Her paternal grandparents were Duke William ("the Troubador") VII (IX) of Aquitaine and Ermengarde d'Anjou; her maternal grandparents were Prince Boemond II of Antioch & Tarren and Princess Aliz de Rethel of Jerusalem. She had a half-sister named Agnes Marie.  She died on August 27th, 1182.

‌Marie and Manolis were married in a religious ceremony on December 25th, 1161 in Antakya, Hatay, Turkey.  They had a daughter named Eudoxia.
