Alberade was born in Normandy, France.  Alberade's father was Count Palatine Renaud de Lombardy I of Burgundy & Macon and her mother was Alice of Normandy.  Her paternal grandparents were King Othon-Guillaume de Macon and Ermentrude de Roucy of Lombardy; her maternal grandparents were Duke Richard ("the Good") de Normandy II and Princess Judith of Brittany. She had a brother named "le Grand".  She died in 1122 in Venice, Italy.

‌Alberade and "Guiscard", "the Astute" were married in a religious ceremony about 1054 in Normandy, France.  They had a son named Boemond.
