Emma was born in Blois, France.  Emma's father was Theobold de Troyes II and her mother was Luitgarda of Vermandois.  Her paternal grandfather was Count Theobald ("the Cheat") de Tours I of Chartres and her paternal grandmother is Richilde de Bourges; her maternal grandparents were Count Herbert II of Vermandois and Princess Adela of France.  She was an only child.  She died after December 27th, 1003.


Emma's family with Count William ("Ironarm", Fier-áa-bras) II or IV of Poitou

‌Emma and "Ironarm", Fier-áa-bras were married in a religious ceremony before 0969.  They had a son and a daughter, named "the Great", "the Grand", "fier de bras" and Hildegarde.
