Rotilde was born about 0871 in Metz, Moselle, France.  Rotilde's father was Emperor Charles ("the Bald") II and her mother is Countess Richeut von Metz of Ardennes.  Her paternal grandparents were Emperor Louis ("the Pious") I of Aquitaine and Princess Judith von Andechs-Bavaria; her maternal grandparents were Count Buwin of Metz & Bivin and Richilde d'Arles. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named "the Stammerer", Rothilde, Judith, Hersent and Godehilde.  Rotilde is no longer alive.


Rotilde's first family with Count Roger du Maine

‌Rotilde and Roger were married in a religious ceremony in 0890 in Maine-et-Loire, France.  They had two sons named Hugues and Herlouin.


Rotilde's second family with Count Hugh II of Bourges

They had a daughter named Richilde.


Rotilde's third family with Prince Sigisbert V of Ursus

They had a son named William.


Rotilde's fourth family with Hugues de Bourges

They had a son named Hugues.
