Judith was born about 0844 in Flandres, Normandie, France.  Judith's father was Emperor Charles ("the Bald") II and her mother was Ermentrude d'Orleans.  Her paternal grandparents were Emperor Louis ("the Pious") I of Aquitaine and Princess Judith von Andechs-Bavaria; her maternal grandfather was Vodon of Orleans and her maternal grandmother is Engeltrude de Paris. She had a brother and three sisters, named "the Stammerer", Rothilde, Hersent and Godehilde. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named der Stammler and Rotilde.  She died after 0870.


Judith's family with Count Baldwin ("Bras der fer") I of Flanders

‌Judith and "Bras der fer" were married in a religious ceremony on October 2nd, 0863 in Auxerre, France.  They had three sons and a daughter, named "the Bald", Rudolph, Raoul and Widnille.
