Joan of Acre was born in 1272 in Acre, Palestine. Joan of Acre's father was Edward I Longshanks Plantagenet of England and her mother was Eleanor of Castile & Leon. Her paternal grandparents were Henry III Plantagenet of England and Eleanor Berenger of Provence; her maternal grandparents were Ferdinand III the Saint of Castile & Leon and Johanna de Danmartin of Ponthieu. She had four brothers and ten sisters, named John, Henry, Alfonso, Edward II Caernarvon of, Eleanor, Julian Katherine, Margaret, Berengaria, Elizabeth, Beatrice, Blanche, Mary, Alice and Isabella. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas Plantagenet of, Edmund Plantagenet of, John and Eleanor. She died at the age of 35 on April 23rd, 1307 in Clare, Suffolk, England. She was buried on April 26th, 1307 in Priory Church of the Austin Friars, Clare, Suffolk, England.-
