Eleanor was born on October 13th, 1162 in Domfront Castle, Normandy.  Eleanor's father was Henry II Curtmantle FitzEmpress of England and her mother was Eleanor of Aquitaine.  Her paternal grandparents were Geoffrey V the Fair Plantagenet of Anjou and Matilda the Empress of England; her maternal grandparents were William X the Toulousan of Aquitaine and Eleanor Chatellerault de Rochefoucauld. She had five brothers and two sisters, named William of, Richard I Coeur de Lion of, Geoffrey II Plantagenet of, John I Plantagenet Lackland of, Henry the Young King of, Matilda (Maud) and Joan. She had six half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Morgan of, William I, Geoffrey, Peter, Hugh of, Richard, Daughter, Matilda of, Marie Capet of and Alisa Capet of.  She died at the age of 52 on October 31st, 1214 in Burgos, Castile.  She was buried in 1214 in Abbey of Las Huelgas, Burgos, Castile.

‌Eleanor and Alfonso VIII the Noble and Good of were married in a religious ceremony on September 21st, 1177 in Burgos Cathedral, Castile, Spain.  They had three sons and seven daughters, named Sancho of, Fernando of, Henry (Enrique) I of, Berengaria Alfonsez, Sancha of, Urraca of, Mafalda of, Blanca of, Leonor of and Constance of.
